About Literature & Philosophy
Literature and Philosophy is the academic journal of the Department of Chinese Literature at National Sun Yat-sen University. Since its founding in December 2002, the journal was included annually from 2009 to 2015 in the Taiwan Humanities Citation Index Core (THCI Core) by the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Ministry of Science and Technology. In 2016, THCI Core was renamed THCI, and Wen and Philosophy has since continued to be recognized as a Tier 1 journal in the field of Literature.
Based on the impact factor (IF) over the past five years across 18 disciplines in the Taiwan Humanities and Social Sciences Citation Index System, the National Central Library awards “Taiwan's Most Influential Academic Resources.” In 2016, Wen and Philosophy was honored with second place in the Award for the Most Influential Journal in the Field of Literature. In 2019, the journal received both the Knowledge Dissemination Award and the Knowledge Impact Award. That same year, it was included in the Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI) database by the Chinese Social Science Research Evaluation Center of Nanjing University.
In 2020, based on the five-year impact factor calculated from 2018 (Year 107 in the ROC calendar), Literature and Philosophy was awarded third place in the Journal Timely Communication Award under the “Taiwan Academic Resources Impact Awards.”
